Disability Rights Commission

The brief from the DRC asked us to raise the status of disability discrimination with policy makers and opinion formers.

A provocative stance was needed, backed up by real case studies. Each case was embargoed and released to selected publications first to ensure editorial interest.

Award winning photographer Eamonn McCabe was commissioned to produce a series of series of arresting portraits of people who had suffered disability discrimination.

The agency negotiated a six page editorial feature in The Guardian Weekend magazine. The feature was an engaging balance between real-life stories and portrait photography.

The shots also featured in a central London exhibition.
